Andrea Lopez’s soft ballads mixed with mainstream pop rhythms are the product of a part Colombian, part Spanish, and part American background. She is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter and performer from Miami. Andrea has adopted many rhythms stemming from her eclectic background, creating a fusion between Latin, country, folk, and mainstream pop. From her up-tempo carefree beats to her softer mournful ballads, her powerful lyrics are emotion-charged and often poetic, the result of honest stories arise from her life experiences.
Andrea wanted to transform her love of music and songwriting into a career, and knew that she would need to learn the business from the bottom up. To accomplish this goal she is now a recent graduate from the Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music Program, where she studied Music Business and songwriting. For two years and a half Andrea worked along side Emilio Estefan in Crescent Moon Studios, assisting his team in production and songwriting sessions for top performing artists. Moreover, after graduating, she worked at the Estefan's corporate office in licensing and royalties for the Estefan catalog, where she learned the business of how an artist manages and monetizes his/her work.
With this knowledge, she self-released her debut EP “Echoes” in April 2017 consisting of five original songs, which ranked highly on the iTunes Charts (#1 Top EPS & Singles, #5 Top Latin Albums, #8 Top Singer/Songwriter Albums) and earned her placements on numerous Spotify playlists. Additionally, her song “Por Ti” was awarded as a finalist in the Latin category of the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. With her recent success, she has been traveling to collaborate with numerous musicians in Miami, NY, and Nashville and is currently living in LA, pursuing her dream and creating new content to release soon.
